When the summer heat hits 90 degrees, it’s time for a classic. The QuikTrip Freezoni is not like a regular Icee or Slurpee. This frozen treat is carbonated like a soda. It’s not the Kool-Aid syrup poured over ice you’re used to. It’s currently 69¢ for a 32 oz. cup. Pure refreshment.

But does it come in Boones Farm varieties? That would make it classy you know. Like some of the classy folks I saw on my trip up to Sapulpa, Glennpool and Keifer. That’s right, I made to trek to Green Country for the forth of July to see relatives. I had the pleasure of visiting two QuikTrips in 5 hours. First was the Glennpool QT, where I was not only reminded of the glories of QT, but also of how scary Glennpool is. Second was a midnight stop at the Sapulpa QT before getting on the turnpike to head home. I enjoyed two egg rolls and an awe inspiring Green Apple Green Tea. I was also pleasently surprised at the level of courtesy from people holding doors for others.
But after 6 hours up there, my redneck past was nipping at my heels, so I made haste in returning to the fair city of OKC.

Oh, and all that happened on the FOURTH, not the “forth”. See? Do you see what happens to me from just 6 hours of being in the Tulsa area?!?!

Although you had to suffer a trip to Glenpool, Keifer and Sapulpa, I’m glad you got your QT fix. Was I right about the eggrolls? Delicious.
Malt Liquor Freezoni? Now that’s a great idea.
