Ten Things Overheard at Tracy Perrin’s Arrest

January 6, 2009

The New Year is off to a good start for one Tulsa firefighter. Tulsa Police arrested firefighter Tracy Perrin on a felony complaint of malicious injury to property.

He’s accused of driving his pickup truck through his fire station’s glass doors … all three of them.

To cover his tracks, Perrin “accidentally” crashed his truck through his garage door.  Perrin reported the “accident” to police and fire officials.  It’s the midlife crisis version of a parent finding their teenager’s pot that “belongs to a friend.”

After he reported the “accident,” police reported back and arrested him.  Based on information I’ve made up, here’s what was overheard at Perrin’s arrest:

10. “Can I borrow a cup of glass?”

9. “Maybe you were dragging overhead doors.”

8. “Will Burggraff Restoration mail me a coupon for 20% off fire, water and Perrin damage?”

7. “Would you like to slide down my pole?”

6. “Stop, Drop and Roll a fatty.  That’s what I always say.”

5. “Are you gonna eat that?”

4. “You have to admit, it breathes better.”

3. “Yeah, the roof is on fire.  Very original.”

2. “I just want to be Mr. June, is that too much to ask?”

1. “Hey, I’m clear on this one.”

Violent behavior is typically condoned by Tulsa Fire Department. It would appear that the only reason this incident has come to the media’s attention is because of the enormity of the incident that TFD officials can’t cover up the funding for!

In 1998 retired firefigter Daniel V. Baker physically abused “another woman”. Baker had a history, according to Tulsa Police records, for domestic violence, and has had for more than a decade. In January, 1999 Debra Summers was given a permanent protective order against Baker for his violence that left bruising to her back and arms, and a busted lip. Dan Baker, the driver at Fire Station 13, repeatedly stalked Debra Summers, broke into her house, repeatedly violating the protective order that was entered against him. By March 1999, Summers finally contacted Tulsa Fire Department spokesman, Hubert Rouse for help from the TFD since Baker was in their employment, and also conducted himself criminally while on duty on fire department premises. Baker’s blatant drug use of methamphetamines and marijuana while on duty at the fire station, compromised the public’s safety everytime he got behind the wheel of the firetruck. Still, Tulsa Fire Department turned their head. Tulsa Fire Department condones ill conduct from the fireman that are of this persuasion. They only give attention to matters beyond their ability to “cover up”.

To date, Baker still makes it a priority in his schedule to locate and stalk Debra Summers almost eleven years after the court ordering him to leave her alone, with the most recent incident being September 22, 2009. Baker is now retired, and has limitless amounts of time to be a menace in the community, instead of being a productive member of society. This is an example of Tulsa Fire Department ethics, and what is produced from their lackadaisical posture.
