Gatesway Balloon Glow

I took a short roadtrip to the Gatesway Balloon Festival to watch the balloon glow Saturday evening. I thought balloon glow meant 20 to 30 hot air balloons. No, it meant one. The schedule should have said “a” balloon glow. Nevertheless, it was still fun. I watched a balloon go from flat to fully inflated. Here’s some pics from that event. Enjoy.

if it was windy that is why there was only one balloon that inflated, inflating even that one balloon in high wind is risky. Unfortunatley in the ballooning business you cannot always predict perfect weather, and with ballooning you need near perfect weather and NO high winds. With high winds ballooning is EXTREMELY dangerous even with a subtle wind. So thought hey may have advertised 20-30, seems as if the weather was not on their side. But glad you went, its all for a good cause to support people with disabilities.
