10 Warning Signs Tom Adelson Hasn’t Made Peace with Losing the Election

Before all the votes were counted for the 2009 mayoral election, former candidate Tom Adelson conceded to new mayor Dewey Bartlett.  Now that it’s finally over, we can move on and plan ways to blame Bartlett for the city’s woes once he takes office.

Although, there may be some bitterness on Adelson’s part.

There are few warning signs that Tom Adelson hasn’t made peace with losing the election:

10. Grabbed his crotch and told reporters to “concede this.”

9. Was seen crying in Kathy Taylor’s arms.  Called her mommy.

8. Offered to take Bartlett out for a congratulatory sack lunch near 41st and 169.

7. Rumored to have wiped his feces on Bartlett’s desk lamp.

6. Sold “Save a Horse, Stone a Bartlett” t-shirts from the trunk of his car.

5. Three Words: Just for Men.

4. Asked to be called “Thomasina.”

3. Held a cardboard cutout of Bartlett hostage at Meadowbrooks Apartments.

2. Complimented Bartlett’s moobs.

1. Walked around nude except for a strategically placed ballot.

If truth be known, the list is probably not too far off the mark.

Still in Pittsbugh, which I now call Brad Pittsburgh ’cause it sounds slick. I glossed over Fox News but didn’t see that the Democrats lost the Governor’s race in Virginia and now the mayor’s race in Tulsa.

I know that being a mayor is a full time job. How many folks will be outside the Keener Oil building with resume’s in hand since Dewey will be tied up for the next 4 years? With Adelson we would have only lost a lawyer. That’s about as much of a loss as when the 1000 free hours of AOL expired.

And lastly, what are Donald’s other two nephews doing? I bet we’ll see them in the Works Department.

No, now I really mean last. Is it me or does the name “Dewey” have the same impact nationally that the 5 toothed wonder in front of the blowed over trailer does when they talk about Oklahoma on national news?
