Festival of Trees 2009: Gingerbread Houses
December 11, 2009
It’s the 25th anniversary of Philbrook Museum’s Festival of Trees. This yearly fundraiser showcases Christmas trees, Christmas pins and gingerbread houses created by local artists and organizations. Everything is for sale. The proceeds help support the museum. So, instead of giving money to white-trash panhandlers trying to raise $8 for a pack of cigarettes, support a real cause and toss your spare change their way.
Next week, I’ll post the trees. Until then, enjoy the houses:

Pics are great! Did you notice that some of the Gingerbread houses were so good that it doesn’t look like kids had a hand in it at all???
They are great and delicious looking. I want to eat one.
Eat what? A picture or the gingerbread house?
Yes.
I was just sad to see how thin and jaundiced Santa has become from what I presume to be Hepatitis.
It’s Hep A. An unfortunate outcome from eating cookies that were prepared from bakers who didn’t take appropriate precautions.
Sweet
Much better than those $8 kit houses at Target.
I didn’t see the house from the Home Builders Association. you would think with housing at a standstill they could make a little 3 bedroom in their spare time.
