Bad Product Combinations 2.0

April 13, 2010

Product combinations have been a staple of the U.S. market for decades.  The 1800s introduced us to a can opener, although the can appeared 50 years earlier.  In the 1900s, Ruth Wakefield, who ran the Toll House Inn, combined chocolate chips and cookies.  The 21st Century has brought us value menus paired with a bad economy.

Some product parings work.  Others don’t, such as the photo above.  What is that bad Apple product combination?  Find out that combination and more after the jump.

• Tide with Ranch

Millions of products offer the flavor of ranch.  Now, your detergent can too.  Salad’s In, Stains Out.

• Shampax

Twelve-times its weight in liquid protection.

• Macaroni and Jelly

Peanut butter and cheese works, especially on a cracker.  Enjoy the flavor and slimy squishy texture of macaroni and jelly.  Mmmmmmmm.

• Tucks Medicated Pickles

pH balanced and crisp.  Perfect for any bun.

• Apple iUd

Birth control that syncs to the rhythm of your womb.

Sometimes you just shouldn’t open this blog while drinking your morning soda…..thank goodness there is no ranch dressing in my Tide stick! Thank you for the laugh, I think! Where’s a Shamwow when you need one.

Macaroni and Jelly might be something I would have tried as a kid.

The kids thank it’s weird that me and mama like macaroni mixed with a can of stewed tomatoes.

Ah, the Photoshoppy goodness for which I so love the Irritated Tulsan. Also, Tide with Ranch goes great with sweet potato fries. Don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it, man.
