Ignore Them and They’ll Quit Robbing
Tulsa Police Department has found that with fewer officers, comes fewer arrests.
Maybe next they’ll report that a diet low in bullets can increase the average lifespan.
TPD reported that after dozens of Tulsa police officers were laid off, crime dropped.
However, it may not be because there are fewer officers to arrest thugs, it could be because of the insane logic that my mother used when I was a child.
When bullies picked on me, which happened hourly, she told me that all the bully wanted was my attention. If I ignored them and didn’t react, they would stop.
Did this work? No, it never did, but that’s ok. My former tormentor is in prison. He’s someone’s else’s b**** now.
Although that method didn’t work for me, I believe what’s happening is that criminals are bored because they’re not getting enough attention.
Crime is no longer fun since they’re not getting the reaction they want. Criminal activity cannot return to previous levels until we’re willing to stand up, run through the streets and cry “no more!”
Once the police force is fully staffed, crime should skyrocket back to comfortable levels.

The Tulsa Police remind me of the lazy, unionized city workers I see standing around on the side of the streets.
Oh wait…
Tulsa IS a safe place, if you live in a donut shop or a Quik Trip
Wait a minute there’s another correlation: fewer cops, less crime. Hmm. Maybe the cops were the criminals?
In my neighborhood (which is gated and manned/walked by security guards), we had this unexpected jump in robberies – like several in a two month period. Our association fired the security company, hired a new one, and we haven’t had a crime since.
Now the prison guards can tell him, “Ignore them and they’ll stop raping you!”.
