Great Moments in Walmart Stupidity #1
May 19, 2010
I needed $50 for a graduation gift. I also needed a card. I stopped at Walmart Neighborhood Market. Yes, the one that’s dead to me.
Fifty dollars cash back from a purchase should be simple.
Should be.
In the self-checkout lane, I scanned my card. The touch pad asked me if I wanted cash back. I pressed “yes” and entered $50 for the amount.
An error message popped onto the screen:
The amount must be in multiples of $20.
“Fine,” I thought to myself. I push the $60 button.
Out came six $10 bills.
Another great moment in Walmart stupidity.

One time I got $5 bills back and this was from an even stricter foe, the atm.
I love it!!!!!
OMG!! how funny. We also when to one to get a few last minute items for a graduation, and we also used a self-checkout lane. Actually the transaction when smoothly. My stupid misunderstanding it, if these are unmaned lanes, why are more than half of them closed?
I think Wal-Mart has some sort of rule that 1/2 of the lanes no matter what type they are must be closed.
I think it is part of their “Pay more, get less” campaign.
lol
the world is full of stupid things and stupid people
The lanes are closed and there are not enough cashiers intentionally because Walmart thinks the more time you spend in their store the more you will shop and the more you will spend,
at least that’s my understanding
