East Tulsa Vandal Suspects

June 17, 2010

Briarglen Elementary School security cameras captured the two East Tulsa vandals on tape.

The vandals tagged two neighborhoods early Monday and Tuesday morning.

Neighbors woke to find  “CSK,” “DAZE,” or “CLOUD” sprayed painted on their cars and homes.

More than a dozen homes were hit.

The suspects haven’t been caught, but based non-insider information that cannot be is-not false, here are the top five team-of-suspects.  Vote below on whom you think are the vandals.

1. Carol Lambert & Charles Ely

For decades, KTUL topped the Tulsa market with high ratings.  Their market share has dropped in the past few years.  They’re no longer #1 because each time a Tulsan dies, they lose a viewer.  Out of fear, publicity or a desperate need to fill the pool of waiting children for Lambert’s Waiting Child series, Lambert & Ely could have set up this operation.

2. Jack Henderson & His Imaginary Friend

Henderson wanted to add a one-cent sales tax to pay for police, fire and parks.  Prompted by his imaginary friend who tells him his ideas are great, Henderson and company could have used graffiti to showcase the need for his tax proposal.

3. Retired Police Officers

Annoyed that the rehiring of laid-off police officers overshadowed their retirement parties, two retired police may have acted out.

4. Pothole & Sinkhole

Now that potholes and sinkholes have ravaged our streets; which have never been the city’s fault because our streets choose to construct themselves with cheap materials; they’ve moved to houses, fences and schools.  Evil potholes.

5. Bert and Ernie

Most of Tulsa’s city councilors support adding sexual orientation to the city’s nondiscrimination policy.  District 6 Councilor Jim Mautino opposes it.  Where have the East Tulsa Vandals struck?  That’s right, District 6.  Also, “CSK,” “DAZE,” and “CLOUD” are common words often painted on the back alley of Sesame Street, better known as Sesame Row.
